Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation seeks an Electrical Engineer intern/coop to gain hands-on experience at a large downstream energy facility. You will work on electrical and instrumentation projects within a refinery setting, developing project management and teamwork skills.

Ideal candidates are Electrical Engineering majors with strong academics, US work authorization for full-time employment during terms, and availability for spring, summer, and fall internships.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be majoring in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong academic performance.
• Authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Positions are available spring, summer, and fall semesters.
• Availability for multiple work terms is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Concurrent enrollment in a degree seeking program.
• Military experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Project Engineers work on a variety of real-world electrical and instrumentation projects in a refinery setting.
• Reliability Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineers troubleshoot Electrical & Instrumentation issues at the refinery.
• Process Control / Technical Service Engineers support process control systems installed throughout the refinery and product movements areas.
