Job summary

LifeBridge Health is hiring for a referrals coordinator to manage the end-to-end referral process, including scheduling, authorizations, and patient communication. You will verify benefits, track referrals, and coordinate with primary care physicians and payors to ensure timely care.

The role requires scheduling and prior authorization experience, medical terminology knowledge, and a customer-focused approach within a hospital setting. Growth opportunities and competitive benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and initiates referrals, obtains and tracks authorizations, and follows up on outstanding referrals.
• Verifies patient coverage for specific benefits.
• Answers incoming calls regarding referrals.
• Completes referrals initiated by the primary care physician in a timely and accurate manner; encloses pertinent information from the patient’s chart and contacts patient when referral is complete.
• Obtains authorizations for scheduled procedures and admissions; coordinates with managed care payors.

Pay Range: $17.33 to $26.00 Based On Experience
