Job summary

OGH Practice Management in Olean, NY is seeking a Referral Authorization Specialist to manage referrals for ancillary testing and provide top-tier service to referring physicians and patients. The role requires obtaining pre-authorization and supporting testing-related administration in a medical setting.

Must have a High School diploma and, for LPN applicants, completion of an accredited LPN program, plus a current PA LPN license and driver's license. Onsite work with a bi-weekly pay schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years' experience in a medical office setting with experience working with billing and insurance.
• LPN applicants must have two years' experience in a physician office setting with experience working with billing and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assures that referrals are managed for ancillary testing.
• Provides high-level customer service to referring physicians and referred patients.
• Obtains pre-authorization for all ancillary tests and performs additional administrative support functions.
• Maintains knowledge of insurance criteria and regulations for ancillary testing of carrier contracts/changes.
