Job summary

The Harford County Public Library is seeking a Library Associate I – Branch at the Jarrettsville location to assist customers with locating materials, using the library catalog, and navigating electronic resources. You will support programming and reference services to help patrons make full use of library offerings.

The position is part-time (20 hours per week) with a Bachelor's degree required and an hourly wage of $19.59–$25.44.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Ability to attend Library Associate Training Program and complete within 2 years.
• One or more years of related experience.
• Computer experience including internet, databases, and downloading digital materials.

Responsibilities

• Performs reference services to assist customers.
• Assists customers with locating materials and using electronic resources.
• Plans, assembles, and arranges displays to support topics.
• Provides information on library activities and services.
