Job summary

LifeStream is seeking a full-time lab support role at the San Bernardino Main Campus. The position assists with antigen negative RBCs inventory, reagent management, and various duties in the Reference Laboratory.

Ideal candidates will have a BS in science, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining donor and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with antigen negative RBCs inventory and reagent management.
• Receive, stock, and organize supplies in the Reference Laboratory.
• Assist with department phone calls and equipment maintenance.
• Support in handling in-house RBCs, antisera, and ARDP duties.
• Assist in accessioning of incoming samples and in filing reports.

Job Details: Job Location: SAN BERNARDINO MAIN CAMPUS - SAN BERNARDINO, CA 92408, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: 4 Year Degree, Salary Range: $18.00 - $28.00 Hourly, Travel Percentage: None, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Health Care, Assists with antigen negative RBCs inventory, equipment maintenance, reagent management, and other duties as assigned in the Reference Laboratory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assists with antigen negative RBCs inventory.
• Assists with reagent management.
• Receives and stocks supplies.
• Assists with department phone calls.
• Assists with equipment maintenance.
• Assists with in-house red blood cells and antisera.
• Assists with management of adsorbing RBCs.
• Assists in tagging units.
• Assists in importing units.
• Assists in fulfilling ARDP requests and ARDP duties.
• Assists in accessioning of incoming samples.
• Assists with HLA platelet requests.
• Assists with send-out requests
• Assists in filing of completed case reports and other department paperwork.
• Performs other duties as assigned in the Reference Laboratory.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s Degree in science (BS) or equivalent work experience required.

EXPERIENCE

• Clinical or blood bank laboratory experience is preferred.
