Job summary

Reeves Construction Company is seeking an experienced Crusher Plant Operator for the Duncan Asphalt Plant. The role involves operating and tending the crusher, moving material with heavy equipment, and maintaining safety in outdoor conditions.

Work typically 40–60 hours per week, including night shifts and seasonal variations. Strong preference for candidates with prior aggregate plant experience and a valid DOT medical card.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years' prior experience in the aggregate industry preferred; experience in plant operation/maintenance a plus.
• Must be able to work night shift (required).
• Prior experience operating mobile equipment (Track hoe, Bulldozer, Skid Steer, etc.) and machinery a plus.
• Must have clean driving record.
• Must possess a DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Operate crusher and tend crusher to crush and screen for reuse.
• Break mixture to size with the crusher.
• Place mixture into the crusher hopper with a Track hoe.
• Start the crusher and conveyors carrying material to stock piles.
• Operate Loader, Bulldozer, Track Hoe, Skid Steer or other heavy machinery.
• Work 40–60 hours per week, may include nights and outdoor in varying weather, with possible overnight travel.

Mission

Reeves Construction Company is looking for an experienced Crusher Plant Operator for the Reeves - Duncan Asphalt Plant responsible for performing operation of crusher.

Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing operation of crusher.
• Tends mechanical crusher to crush and screen, for reuse.
• Breaks mixture to appropriate size with crusher.
• Places mixture into hopper of crusher with Track hoe.
• Starts crusher and conveyor belts that carry crushed and screened mixture to a pile to be moved to stock piles using a Front End Loader.
• Adjusts and cleans conveyors and screen vibrators.
• Operate Loader, Bulldozer, Track Hoe, Skid Steer or other heavy machinery
• This work will typically require 40-60 hours of work per week, may include night work, work in the summer months and winter months, and generally outside in the elements. Job may require traveling overnight for periods at a time.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work night shift (required).
• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years prior experience in the aggregate industry preferred; experience in aggregate plant operation and maintenance (a plus)
• Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced environment
• Prior experience operating mobile equipment (Track hoe, Bulldozer, Skid Steer, etc.) and machinery (a plus)
• Must have clean driving record.
• Must possess a DOT medical card.

Working Conditions

• This job requires the ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs., bend, stoop, kneel, reach, squat twist, and climb heavy equipment several times throughout the day, and balance at heights up to 6 feet from ground level. In addition, you must have the ability to be on your feet regularly and use hands, arms, and legs repeatedly on the job.
• This includes frequently walking on sloped ground and slippery and uneven surfaces, as well as working in confined areas.
• This job requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• This job requires the ability to see, whether naturally or with vision correction tools (glasses, contacts).
• This job requires the ability to perform essential job tasks in less than favorable job conditions. These may include but are not limited to: Performing strenuous work in varying temperatures, humidity, sand, wind, or other extreme inclement weather conditions for extended periods of time.
• Work may be performed in an environment with exposure to extremely hot materials, fuel, fumes, vapors, dust, grease and oils, as well as loud and/or constant noise and exposure to moving equipment.
