Job summary

DeVivo Companies in Buffalo, NY is seeking a full-time Refrigeration Technician for the 2nd shift (Noon – 8:00 PM). You will perform preventive maintenance and servicing on TRUs and APUs, diagnose and repair mobile refrigeration equipment, and ensure compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.

DeVivo Companies currently has an opening for a full-time 2 nd shift (Noon - 8:00 PM) Refrigeration Technician at our Buffalo, NY location.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance & service inspections on a variety of transport refrigeration units (TRU) & auxiliary power units (APU)
• Perform diagnostic, repair work on mobile refrigeration equipment, auxiliary power units & heater equipment
• Follow established technical & administrative processes
• Complete repair orders & parts usage forms
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members, & customers
• Remain current on technical & regulation requirements
• Perform road service calls as required

Position Requirements:

• 5 years’ experience in the field of refrigeration/HVAC equipment installation and/or repair
• Skills to sufficiently install, diagnose and repair refrigeration equipment
• Demonstrate technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, materials, methods & equipment to perform, prioritize and complete job assignments
• Own & maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions
• High school diploma or equivalent, technical trade school a plus
• Proficient with computer operation/usage
• Valid driver’s license
• A New York State motor vehicle inspector certificate is preferred but not required
