Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Security Engineer (Red Team) to join the Information Security department and help protect the SpaceX mission. The role focuses on identifying, assessing, and remediating vulnerabilities while developing internal security tools and triaging bug reports.

As a member of Vulnerability Management, you will perform Purple/Red Team exercises, coordinate with researchers, and deliver actionable guidance to engineering teams with strong communication throughout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years in security software development.
• Experience with Python, Go, C/C++, C#, or Rust.
• Experience designing security solutions for OS, distributed systems, or large-scale infra.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools and guidance to accelerate secure delivery.
• Conduct web app security testing using established frameworks.
• Trias Bugcrowd reports and coordinate remediation with teams.
• Perform Purple Team exercises to test controls and improve detection.
• Contribute to Red Team operations and post‑exercise analysis.
• Document findings and provide leadership with risk summaries.
