Job summary

Radiance Technologies in Dayton, OH, supports NASIC and is seeking an experienced Red Hat Linux System Administrator to maintain IT resources in a classified environment. The role emphasizes security, uptime, and documentation, with occasional after-hours support as needed.

The candidate will install and sustain Linux servers, manage storage, test software updates, and optimize performance while following IA requirements and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Experience with PostgreSQL database installations and backups.
• 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or 10 years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 9/10 in a classified environment.
• Knowledge of security operations and information assurance.
• Security+ (minimum) or higher certification.
• Familiarity with load balancing, firewalls, and network tools.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain Linux servers and network systems.
• Provide backup and recovery services; manage file systems and disk space.
• Test updates to enterprise system software for compatibility and minimal user impact.
• Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.
• Performance and network tuning.
• Develop best practices for processes and documentation/templates.
