Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics is recruiting a Material Handler – Recycling in the United States. The role supports safe and efficient warehouse operations, handling recyclable materials, waste, and corrugated materials while maintaining clean and safe work areas.

Work shifts operate across early morning and overnight blocks with a $2.50 shift differential where noted. The position requires basic computer skills and adherence to PPE and safety procedures, with opportunities to contribute

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience in a warehouse, recycling, material handling, general labor, or similar role preferred.
• Previous experience with recycling equipment, balers, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment preferred.
• Must be able to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures during warmer and colder months.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must complete all required site training before independently operating balers, compactors, or other recycling equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend written safety procedures and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Collect trash, cardboard, plastic, shrink wrap, pallets, and other recyclable or waste materials from designated areas throughout the warehouse.
• Sort recyclable and waste materials into the appropriate containers, bins, staging areas, or processing areas.
• Break down cardboard and prepare recyclable materials for processing.
• Safely load and operate balers and/or compactors in accordance with site procedures and safety requirements.
• Move completed bales or processed recyclable materials to designated areas as trained.
• Maintain warehouse floors, aisles, workstations, and recycling stations in a clean, organized condition.
• Operate pallet jacks and other equipment to transport waste and recyclables.
• Identify materials needing special handling and follow site procedures for disposal or escalation.
