Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a Recycling Specialist in Pompano Beach, FL. You will identify, separate, and recover recyclable materials while ensuring safe and efficient operations. This role emphasizes attention to detail and a proactive safety mindset within a growing team.

The position requires physical activity, lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. Training is provided to the right candidate, with opportunities for growth and advancement

Responsibilities

Sort recyclable materials such as cardboard, paper, plastics, metals, and glass from the recycling stream.
Inspect materials and remove contaminants to ensure high-quality recycled products.
Safely operate around conveyor systems and recycling equipment following safety procedures.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
Monitor equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns.
Wear required PPE and promote a culture of safety.
