Job summary

Republic Services in Corpus Christi, TX, is seeking a dedicated Sorter to efficiently process incoming recyclables and ensure outbound commodities meet broker and mill standards.

You will sort materials, deposit them into the appropriate chute, assist teammates, follow all safety policies, and communicate with equipment operators. Prior experience in a recycling facility is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience sorting recyclable materials in a recycling facility.

Responsibilities

• Sort and segregate recoverable materials from incoming waste.
• Deposit recoverable materials into the correct chute.
• Assist other sorters with heavy or bulky items as needed.
• Follow all safety policies, including stopping the conveyor belt in emergencies.
• Inspect loads for unacceptable waste and remove such items.
• Communicate with equipment operators about loads needing special attention.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
