Progress Rail, a Caterpillar company, is seeking a 1st shift worker to prepare and sort materials in an industrial recycling setting in Albertville, AL. Responsibilities include sorting, loading into production equipment, and maintaining clean work areas.

The role requires standing for long periods and following safety protocols in varied weather conditions. Education required is a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Industrial labor experience preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must follow safety and procedural rules.

Responsibilities

• Sort recyclable materials; deposit recoverable materials into chutes or place materials on conveyor belts; load materials into production equipment.
• Clean work areas and production equipment; operate recycling equipment; lubricate and repair equipment as needed.
• Record operational or production data; operate forklifts or other loaders when required.
