Job summary

Pratt Industries is hiring a Materials Handler at our Gary, IN facility. You will load material onto lines and trailers, operate front-end loaders and equipment per the O&M manual, and conduct daily equipment inspections.

Responsibilities include checking material quality, keeping areas tidy, and maintaining safety standards. Night and weekend shifts may be required; successful candidates will pass drug screening and background checks.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent; experience may substitute for education.
• Minimum of six months experience operating machinery.
• Ability to follow directions and maintain safety.
• Professional attitude and conduct.
• Multitasking, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and time management skills.
• High degree of safety awareness and safety discipline.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Adherence to safety requirements and company policies.
• Be a team player and assist co-workers as required.

Job Summary:

Loads material onto lines and trailers safely via front end loaders. Operates equipment in accordance with O&M manual. Performs inspections on equipment daily. Must obey all company safety regulations, and performs other job-related duties as assigned

Hiring Requirements:
