Butler University is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor for the HRC Aquatics Center in Indianapolis. You will deliver developmentally appropriate swim lessons, emphasize water safety, and foster a welcoming, inclusive learning environment for participants of varying ages and skill levels.
The role requires current SSI certification (or willingness to obtain via Butler-provided course), strong swimming ability, and the ability to communicate effectively with children and guardians.

Swim Instructors with Butler Recreation & Wellness Aquatics provide high-quality, developmentally appropriate swim instruction to participants of varying ages and skill levels. Instructors are responsible for delivering structured lessons focused on water safety, skill progression, and confidence-building while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment. Swim Instructors serve as positive role models, communicate effectively with participants and families, and support the overall success of the Aquatics program.
