Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a Recruiter for University Relations to identify, attract, and evaluate top talent for early careers programs. You'll partner with hiring managers and HR to build sourcing strategies and coordinate interviews.

You will serve as the main contact for candidates, use job boards, social media, events, and referrals to attract talent, conduct screenings, and maintain records in SuccessFactors. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • 2–4 years of job-related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as main point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing timely updates, feedback, and guidance.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Utilize a variety of sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals, to identify and attract potential candidates.
  • Engage with passive candidates and build relationships to encourage interest in current and future job opportunities with our company.
  • Conduct initial screenings and assessments of candidates to evaluate their qualifications, skills, and fit for specific roles.
  • Maintain candidate records and information in the applicant tracking system (SuccessFactors), ensuring accuracy and compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Provide support and guidance to hiring managers on best practices for candidate evaluation, interview techniques, and selection decisions.
  • Arrange flights, hotels, etc., for candidates that are travelling for interviews.
  • Support the implementation of recruitment initiatives and projects to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our talent acquisition processes.
  • Participate in employer branding activities, including career fairs, campus recruitment events, and employer networking groups, to promote our company as an employer of choice.
  • Partner with hiring managers and department leaders to understand staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies for open positions.
  • Maintain and build relationships with external recruiters.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

What we need:

The Recruiter - University Relations is an established performer responsible for identifying, attracting, and evaluating top talent to meet the staffing needs of the organization's various Early Careers programs. This role involves collaborating with hiring managers, developing sourcing and recruitment strategies, coordinating interviews, and partnering with Human Resources to ensure the acquisition of qualified and diverse candidates.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 2-4 years of job-related experience or equivalent education and/or experience.

  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

What else?

  • Occasional travel will be required and may be heavier during the Fall recruitment season.
