Job summary

Betr in Miami is seeking a Recruiter & People Operations Associate to join the team as the second People team hire. The role is highly operational and collaborative, partnering with the Head of People to support the global Betr team across recruiting and people operations.

You will own full lifecycle recruiting for technical and non-technical roles, manage our Lever ATS, coordinate post-offer logistics, and help manage office operations and culture initiatives as Betr grows.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in recruiting, people ops, HR coordination, or a generalist HR role.
• Experience owning recruiting workflows end-to-end, including candidate communication and ATS management
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Strong communicator—warm, clear, and professional with candidates and employees
• Proactive, resourceful, and flexible in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Google Workspace; familiarity with Lever and HRIS tools a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage our ATS (Lever), keep pipelines current, and ensure a great candidate experience.
• Schedule interviews, coordinate feedback sessions, and keep hiring managers on track.
• Post and update job descriptions across job boards and Betr's careers page.
• Support post-offer logistics and pre-onboarding coordination with IT.
• Own day-to-day office operations: supplies, vendors, and facilities needs.
• Plan and execute team events, offsites, happy hours, and in-office celebrations.
• Own lunch and catering ordering for the Miami office.
• Support rollout of people programs: performance reviews, engagement surveys, and culture initiatives.

About the Role

Betr is looking for a Recruiter & People Operations Associate to join the team in Miami! This will be our second hire on the People team and is a highly operational & collaborative role. Partnering with our Head of People, You will have ownership of supporting the global Betr team across a range of people operations — including full life cycle recruiting for technical and non-technical roles, routine people operations processes, office management, and culture. What You'll Do:

Recruiting

• Own full-cycle recruiting for both technical & non-technical roles (marketing, customer operations, trading, engineering, etc.)

• Source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, and referrals

• Manage our ATS (Lever), keep pipelines current, and ensure a great candidate experience

People Operations & Office Administration

• Own day-to-day office operations: office related supply purchases, vendor relationships, and any other general facilities needs

• Ensure office safety, compliance, and a clean, well-stocked workspace

• Plan and execute team events, offsites, happy hours, and in-office celebrations

• Own lunch and catering ordering — sourcing, scheduling, and logistics for the Miami office

• Support the rollout of people programs: performance reviews, engagement surveys, and culture initiatives

• Be aware and assess employee engagement and implement initiatives to address areas of improvement

• Partner with the Head of People on ad hoc people projects as the team and company scale

Note: You may be asked to assist with responsibilities outside the scope of this role to meet the evolving needs of Betr.

About You:

• 2–4 years of experience in recruiting, people ops, HR coordination, or a generalist HR role

• Experience owning recruiting workflows end-to-end, including candidate communication and ATS management

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

• Strong communicator — warm, clear, and professional with candidates and employees

• Proactive, resourceful, & flexible with comfort working in a fast paced environment.

• Experience with Google Workspace required; familiarity with an ATS (we use Lever) and HRIS (Rippling, Lattice, or similar) a plus

• Startup or high-growth company experience preferred
