Job summary

Centurion Health seeks a Behavioral Health Specialist for 40 hours/week at the Miami Correctional Facility in Bunker Hill, IN. The role focuses on using recreational and social activities to build skills and support treatment objectives within a multidisciplinary team.

Full-time days, benefit-rich package offered to 30+ hours/week staff. Qualified candidates hold a recreation therapy degree, NCCAP certification preferred, and must complete an internship or have two years of related paid

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or closely related field.
• NCCAP certification preferred.
• Two years of full-time paid experience in a clinical, residential, or community-based setting after receipt of the required degree if internship was not completed.

Responsibilities

• Use recreational and social activities to foster skill building, problem solving, and accomplish treatment objectives.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team to support patients and enhance social, adaptive, and independent living skills.

Education
