Job summary

British Swim School of North San Antonio is seeking a part-time gymnastics instructor to teach classes in the afternoon, evening and on weekends. You will keep students safe, follow curriculum, and help them build confidence in a student-centered environment.

You will work with a supportive team, receive paid training, and grow as a teacher while helping children and adults develop gymnastics skills and enjoy a positive, energetic atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Caring and compassionate approach to students of all ages.
• Ability to work in the gym for extended periods up to 5 hours.
• Strong communication with students and staff.
• Willingness to receive coaching and feedback.
• Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced gym environment.
• Commitment to at least 6 months with afternoon and weekend shifts.

We provide gymnastics instruction to our community that builds confidence and develops gymnastics skills in a student-centered environment. We are committed to training our staff to teach gymnastics lessons, giving them the tools they need to be successful. This is a diverse, inclusive and supportive workplace.

As a gymnastics instructor you are responsible for the safety of each class and teaching gymnastic skills to students using our curriculum. You will work to build confidence within your students, encouraging each student to rise to the best of their abilities. You can expect to be regularly communicating with students and fellow staff members. You should be someone who welcomes feedback and is a continuous learner. As a gymnastics instructor you will report to the Gymnastics Supervisor or Site Supervisor during shifts and provide support throughout the gym as needed.

We have a fun and rewarding work environment with a great atmosphere for someone who loves teaching and being around gymnastics. We offer paid training. Starting wage is negotiable with prior experience. This is a part-time position that requires afternoon/evening and weekend shifts.
