Job description

Recreational Coach

Southlake Gymnastics Academy

Southlake, TX, USA

Part-time Onsite

We’re looking for a Recreational Gymnastics Coach who brings energy, positivity, and a genuine passion for helping kids grow.

As a Recreational Coach, you’ll spend your time doing what you love — coaching kids, teaching gymnastics, building confidence, and creating an environment where every athlete feels welcome and excited to come back.

What You’ll Do

• Coach recreational gymnastics classes for children of different ages and skill levels.
• Teach gymnastics skills in a way that is fun, safe, encouraging, and age-appropriate.
• Help athletes build confidence, strength, coordination, and a love for gymnastics.
• Create a positive class environment where kids feel comfortable trying new things and making mistakes.
• Celebrate progress — from a first forward roll to mastering a new skill.
• Keep classes energetic, organized, and engaging.
• Work alongside other coaches to maintain a strong, supportive team culture.
• Be a positive role model for our athletes and help make the gym a place kids are excited to be.

We’re looking for someone who is positive, dependable, energetic, and great with kids. You don’t have to be perfect or know everything on day one — we want someone who is willing to learn, grow, and become a great coach.

The Right Person Will

• Enjoy working with children and genuinely care about their experience.
• Bring a positive attitude and good energy to every class.
• Communicate well with kids, parents, and fellow coaches.
• Be patient, encouraging, and comfortable working with different personalities and abilities.
• Take safety seriously while still making gymnastics fun.
• Be a team player who contributes to the gym.
• Be willing to learn new skills and continue developing as a coach.

This isn’t a job where you simply show up, teach a class, and go home.

You get to be part of a kid’s journey.

You’ll watch athletes gain confidence, overcome challenges, learn skills they never thought they could do, and walk out of the gym feeling proud of themselves. You’ll also be surrounded by a coaching team that believes in supporting one another and creating a positive, fun, and encouraging culture.

If you’re someone who loves kids, enjoys gymnastics, and wants a job where you can have fun, make an impact, and grow as a coach, we’d love to meet you.
