Job summary

Birons Youth Sports Center in Houston is seeking a part-time cheer coach who loves working with kids. You will teach and mentor children ages 5 through 18, run engaging classes, and help teams prepare for performances.

The role offers evening hours Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, a paid training program, and a benefits package with PTO, holidays, and a 401(k). Compensation is based on education, certifications, and experience.

Qualifications

• Understand USASF Cheer and safety guidelines.
• Prior coaching experience.
• Knowledge of all ability levels and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coach children ages 5–18 in cheer classes.
• Lead practices and help teams prepare routines.
• Ensure safe, age-appropriate instruction per guidelines.

In this role, you will coach children of various ages, with classes starting at 5 years old and going up to 18 years. Birons has been serving the community for over 50 years, and we are deeply committed to our customers, staff, and the community. We are seeking someone who loves working with kids, is passionate, and eager to learn.

Monday 4:30-7:30 PM

Tuesday 4:30-6:30 PM

Thursday 4:30-7:30 PM
