Job summary

Draper City in Utah seeks a Recreation Worker II to support city sports programs. You will officiate in basketball, baseball, flag football, soccer, and softball; serve as scorekeeper; and supervise participants, coaches, spectators and staff at events.

The role requires adherence to league rules and safety, reporting issues, and coordinating with the Recreation Coordinator. Experience with sports rules and NFHS or equivalent certification is preferred; a valid Utah driver license is required.

Qualifications

• Age 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Familiar with the rules of assigned sport; prior related activity preferred
• NFHS or equivalent certification
• First-aid certification within 90 days of hire
• Valid Utah driver license

Responsibilities

• Officiates games and enforces guidelines and sportsmanship
• Keeps score and assists in game management
• Supervises participants, coaches, spectators and staff on-site
• Performs field/court set up and take down and reports issues
• Conducts safety inspections and reports concerning conditions
• Produces written reports as needed
