Bride Brook Rehab and Healthcare Center is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan, organize, and implement group activities designed to motivate and improve residents' quality of life in our facility.
You will support one-to-one activities, assist with transportation to program areas, and coordinate with nursing staff to monitor residents' progress and respond to needs with compassion and patience.
Assists with the planning, organization, and implementation of specialized group activities designed to motivate, stimulate, and improve the quality of life for facility residents.
Encourage and stimulate creative talents, physical capabilities, and cognitive skills of each resident to his/her highest potential.
Support the one-to-one individualized activities and sensory stimulation for those residents who do not actively participate in group activities.
Transports residents to area where programs are being conducted.
Supports resident supervision on the nursing unit(s), including outdoor activities.
Communicates residents progress and/or concerns resulting from activity related participation.
Provides feedback for resident assessments as requested by department TRD.
Assist with supply inventory, planning and purchasing for department/facility activities.
Performs other related duties and attends meetings as may be deemed necessary by Supervisor /Administrator and or Director.
