Shepherd Center seeks a qualified Recreation Therapist to plan, direct, and coordinate recreation-based treatments for patients across adolescent to geriatric populations. You will work closely with the Shepherd Center team to meet therapeutic goals and support community reintegration.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Therapeutic Recreation, CTRS certification, and at least three years of experience. BLS clearance within 90 days is expected, with a Georgia driver’s license being preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from an accredited program.
• CTRS certification by NCTRC; BLS within 90 days of start date.
• Three years of experience in Recreation Therapy; Georgia driver's license preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, direct, and coordinate recreation/leisure-based treatments for patients.
• Develop programming to meet the needs of patients and community members with disabilities.
• Schedule and conduct individual and group activities; adapt as needed.
• Assist in discharge planning and patient/family education post-treatment.
• Supervise support staff and volunteers; coordinate with multi-disciplinary team.
