Qualifications

• 1 year experience with the Frail/Elderly Population.
• Bachelor's Degree in related field.
• BLS Certification; Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Eligible.

Responsibilities

• Develops therapeutic patient relationships and prepares plans for continuing care after discharge.
• Monitors patient behavior, symptoms, and reactions and promptly reports pertinent information.
• Expedites documentation regarding assessment, treatment plans, progress notes, and incident reports.
• Provides care with attention to patient safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment.
• Collaborates in treatment team meetings and supports department program functions and events.
• Manages assigned case load and covers weekend/evening/holiday functions as needed.
• Promotes high-quality mental health therapy services within the activity therapy scope.
