Job summary

Premier Health Partners is seeking a Recreation Therapist for the Behavioral Health unit at Upper Valley Medical Center. The role involves 40 hours per week with day shifts 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Requires Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or related field; Master’s preferred; CTRS or Ohio registration required; inpatient/adolescent/child experience preferred; driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or in recreation with a therapeutic emphasis required.
• Masters preferred.
• Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (C.T.R.S.) and/or Ohio registration as Recreation Therapy Consultant or Therapist (R.R.T.C. or R.T.R.) required.
• Previous inpatient, adult, or adolescent / child experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mental health and chemical dependency treatment preferred.
• Experiential therapy or education experience preferred.
• Must possess or be eligible for a State of Ohio driver’s license.
