The Recreation Specialist position in the Cincinnati Recreation Commission's main office may work within the divisions of: Aquatics, Athletics, Finance, Maintenance, Marketing/Design & Communications, Planning & Development (Engineering), or Youth/Teen Services. This employee will be responsible for maintaining an efficient office environment by performing general office duties such as: typing, filing, record keeping, data tracking, computer data entry; customer service via phone or in person, entry level drafting using CAD, information research, field work under close supervision, and other miscellaneous clerical duties.
Graduate of or enrolled in a college level program in architecture, engineering, or planning.
Excellent knowledge of MAC, MS Office, marketing computer software and online applications (CRM tools, Online analytics, Google Adwords etc.).
Military education and experience may be substituted for college level course work at the lower and upper division baccalaureate and graduate levels and apprenticeship training at the vocational certificate level on a case by case basis based on the American Council on Education (ACE) Military Guide recommendations.
Office environment: exposure to computer screens; working closely with others. Outdoor environments: exposure to extreme weather conditions; work below ground; slippery/uneven surfaces; ladders/scaffolds; high noise levels; exposure to dust, asbestos, fumes.
