The position for this posting is located at Saleeby Center, an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF-IID) of BHDD-OIDD located in Hartsville, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
High school diploma and relevant experience. A bachelor's degree in physical education, recreation or a related field may be substituted for work experience.
Knowledge of various types of recreational activities. Knowledge of how to plan, organize and oversee recreational activities. Knowledge of recreational therapy principles, techniques and methods. Ability to motivate and sustain the interest of residents. Ability to instruct residents in various recreational activities. Ability to communicate effectively.
