Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) invites you to join our Community Connections program as a Recreation Specialist - Generalist. Work with a multidisciplinary team to design strength-based activities aligned with SAMHSA's 8 Dimensions of Wellness, on-site and in the community.
This fully on-site role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Starting wage is based on experience and equity, with a bi-weekly pay schedule, and hourly wages range from $20.44 to $30.65.
Join Aurora Mental Health & Recovery's (AMHR) Community Connections program and help empower individuals on their recovery journey through meaningful recreation, wellness, and community engagement. As a Recreation Specialist - Generalist, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to design and facilitate creative, strength-based activities that support clients across SAMHSA's 8 Dimensions of Wellness, both on-site and throughout the community. This role provides an exciting opportunity to encourage clients to explore new experiences, build leisure and life skills, strengthen social connections, and develop a sense of accomplishment and belonging. The ideal candidate is a culturally responsive and relationship-focused professional with strong communication skills, experience collaborating with community partners, and the creativity, flexibility, and independence to adapt programming to meet diverse client needs. Starting wage is based on experience and company equity. Paid bi-weekly.
AMHR has prioritized the health and safety of our clients and staff and requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, receive an annual influenza (flu) shot, and receive negative TB test results prior to their first day of hire.
