Job summary

Ogden City Government is seeking a part-time Recreation Assistant - Site Leader to oversee youth sports programs at municipal facilities. The role includes supervising games, managing scorekeeping, and communicating rules to players and parents.

You will enforce safety, handle concessions, assist with field and court setup, and respond to on-site issues. Must be 18+, CPR/First Aid certification within 6 months, and available nights/weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of recreation programming or sports rules.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain within six months.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Keep score and supervise sites; officiate games; manage concession stand and cashiering.
• Enforce rules and safety policies; ensure participant safety and facility security.
• Answer inquiries and provide information to the public.
• Perform field and ground maintenance; assist with field or court setup.
• Handle on-site situations (protests, no-shows, weather, emergencies) as assigned.
