The City of Greenville is seeking a friendly Recreation Assistant to join the Greenville Aquatics & Fitness Center team. You will support the Recreation Supervisor in planning, organizing, and conducting programs and activities, while delivering exceptional front-desk customer service.

You will help supervise staff, assist with class scheduling and facility operations, maintain safety standards, and ensure a welcoming experience for members and guests during evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreation, exercise science, physical education, leisure studies, or a closely related field preferred.
• One year of recreation, exercise science, or related experience.

Responsabilités

• Assist in delivering programs, instructions and staff training.
• Oversee facility maintenance and cleaning.
• Assist in developing, teaching and scheduling exercise classes.
• Supervise program activities to meet GRPD objectives.
• Provide customer service through membership sales, program registration and facility tours.
• Aid in selection, training, motivation, and evaluation of assigned staff.
• Assist in requisition and inventory of supplies and equipment for the center.
• Assist in operations by supervising the facility.
• Assist with front desk staff at the Greenville Aquatics Center.
• Assist with seasonal facility opening and closing.
• Perform other related work duties as assigned.
