Job summary

Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is seeking a Pool and Beach Server to deliver Forbes 5 Star guest experiences in a pristine island setting.

You will greet guests, describe pool offerings, and coordinate food and beverage service with precise timing while maintaining exceptional knowledge of our resort and standards. The role requires standing for long periods and weekend/holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Three to twelve months of restaurant, food and beverage experience preferred.
• Legal work authorization to work in United States.
• Hawaii health department TB clearance required for food & beverage work.
• Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests proactively and use guest name during service.
• Describe pool hours, offerings, and daily specials to guests.
• Explain menu items with vivid descriptions and relay orders to kitchen/bar.
• Coordinate food & beverage timing and ensure timely delivery.
• Check quality of items and attend to guest needs promptly.
• Respond to guest requests with urgency and courtesy.
• Monitor designated section and maintain guest satisfaction.
• Keep area clean, restocked, and organized throughout shift.
• Close guest checks accurately and process payments.
• Complete end-of-shift paperwork and tip out staff as required.
• Maintain Forbes 5 Star standards and teamwork.
• Work in an active outdoor environment and be able to stand for long periods.

Pool and Beach Server

The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is looking for a Pool and Beach Server who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our Pool and Beach Servers have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required.

What You’ll Do

• Proactively greet guests, drop off a QR code/menu, introduce yourself and inform them that you will be taking care of them for the day. After introduction, use guest name during interaction.
• Accurately describe your pool’s hours of service, offerings, and specials of the day.
• Describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting and vivid descriptions of each item’s origin, taste and preparation methods; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen/ bar using the resorts Micros.
• Coordinate food & beverage timings and deliver items within the proper timing standards.
• Ensure proper quality of orders by checking on previously delivered items
• Anticipate guest needs and offer suggestions that will enhance their experience. Respond to guest requests and concerns urgently and appropriately.
• Manage designated section and continuously checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction.
• Detail your area daily to ensure your space is clean and organized as well as ensuring the area is fully stocked with necessary inventory.
• Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks and complimentary meals.
• Complete closing paperwork and accurately tip out the appropriate food runner and bar staff.
• Ensure every interaction is a Forbes 5 Star experience. Learn and maintain our Pool and Beach 38 Forbes standards.
• Successfully working as a team to ensure guest experience is a priority.
• You will be working in an active outdoor environment, so you must be able to stand for long periods of time.

What To Bring

• Three to twelve months of restaurant, food and beverage, or equivalent experience is required.
• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
• Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card when working in food and beverage
• Weekend & Holiday availability required
