Job Description

To provide a unique guest experience by offering various services including beach service, pool service, poolside activities, and holiday events.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist guests at the pool and beach areas, providing information about the property, directions, rental equipment, and escorting guests with enthusiastic customer service.
  2. Make reservations for pool and beach rentals such as cabanas, luxury loungers, and beach chairs.
  3. Manage the reservation process from start to finish, including guest interaction, inputting reservations into Xola, setting up rentals, obtaining signatures, and processing charges in ResortSuite.
  4. Ensure guests are supplied with clean towels during service hours, and clear used towels, plates, and cups from chairs and bins.
  5. Assist with routine cleaning of the pool and equipment, including sweeping, trash removal, towel organization, and inventory management.
  6. Participate in monthly team meetings, such as the 'All Together Get Together.'
  7. Handle opening and closing procedures of recreation facilities, including setup and breakdown of rental equipment, and maintaining cleanliness and appearance of pool and beach areas.
  8. Maintain clear communication with colleagues, management, and guests.
  9. Be knowledgeable about Omni's culture and engage with guests during family activities, holiday events, and group recreation programming.

Hotel-Specific Essential Functions:

  1. Assist in all other recreation department tasks as needed.
  2. Greet and assist guests with questions or reservations.
  3. Ensure guest safety at all times.
  4. Work scheduled holiday programs.
  5. Enhance guest experiences by engaging with them during interactions.
Qualifications

Tools and Equipment:

Computer programs such as ResortSuite, Xola, and Outlook; basic tools; drills; augers; shovels; surfboards; paddleboards; beach carts; towel bins.

Working Environment:

  • Indoor and outdoor settings with weather exposure.
  • Exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
  • Pool decks, beach locations, storage areas, and guest spaces.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stoop, stand, push, pull, and walk or stand for extended periods.
