Job summary

Obsolete Site is seeking a candidate to operate and supervise firing range facilities, ensuring safety and compliance with laws. You will instruct patrons, handle ammunition, and process sales, while maintaining vault security and records.

The role requires experience in range operations, strong safety know-how, and the ability to perform cashier duties. Training to obtain official certifications is provided within 60 days of start.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with firing range operations and firearm safety and possess work experience which involved dealing with the general public.
• May have cashier skills.
• Must be able to obtain current Installation Range Certification Card, NRA Range Safety Officer Certification, or equivalent within 60 days of entrance on duty.

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Must be available nights, weekends and holidays.
• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Individual must be able to lift up to 45 pounds without assistance and heavier loads with assistance.
• Must meet age restrictions for the handling of firearms.
• This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) as required by Army Regulation 600-85. A negative drug test is required prior to appointment for a TDP. Incumbent will be subject to subsequent random drug test as required.
• Position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service, see: www.sss.gov.
