Job summary

Langdon-Place-of-Dover invites applications from caring professionals to join our team as a Recreation Assistant. You will coordinate activities meeting the physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of our patients and residents, bringing compassion and positive energy to every interaction.

You will help plan and promote engaging recreation services, document attendance, participate in care plan meetings, and support volunteer programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification in accordance with regulatory agencies governing the center.
• Must have a valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Plan and promote recreation-based activities that stimulate the mind and body and promote social interaction.
• Provide input into the design of monthly recreation services.
• Document patient/resident attendance and participation in recreation programs; write progress notes and attend care plan meetings as appropriate.
• Assist with setup of the volunteer program and recognition.
