Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) - NBK Kitsap Bangor is seeking to support the Military's Quality of Life through MWR programs, including fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage activities for service members and families.

This on-site role requires at least 1 year of practical work experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a food handler's certification, CPR and First Aid within 90 days of hire.

Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Community Recreation, and Deployed Support Branch; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations command (CNIC); NBK Kitsap Bangor.

• A valid state driver's license is required.
• Work involves frequent lifting or moving objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain food handler's certification, CPR and First Aid within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to work independently
• One year of practical work experience.
• Ability to organize, plan, administer special events and entertainment activities
• Knowledge of goals, principles and techniques and procedures used in organizing, planning and conducting leisure time activities. Knowledge of the Navy MWR mission and entire scope of Community Recreation activities and their suitability for individuals, groups, ages and interests
• Individual must be responsible with a pleasant, courteous attitude who can communicate effectively with the public
• Will need to collect and accurately record cash transactions and operate a cash register.
• Schedule can include nights, weekends and holidays
