Job summary

Navy MWR at Naval Station Everett supports the Military's Quality of Life programs within CNIC's Community Recreation and Deployed Support Branch. The role focuses on planning leisure activities, administering recreation programs, and ensuring excellent customer service within a structured policy environment.

Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office, possess cash handling skills, and be capable of operating POS systems while developing engaging events and maintaining accurate records

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the goals, principles, techniques and procedures used in organizing, planning and conducting leisure time activities.
• Knowledge of the Navy MWR mission, the scope of Community Recreation activities and their suitability for individuals, groups, ages and interests.
• Knowledge of MWR policies, rules, and regulations related to the assigned work area.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of basic arithmetic to compute charges, disperse change accurately, and prepare reports.
• Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and others as they relate to fitness, sports and aquatics programming.
• Skill in planning and carrying out an enhanced program in the recreation specialty area which meets the needs of the participating community.
• Skill in providing excellent customer service obtained through prior experience and training.
• Ability to utilize point of sale system(s).
• Ability to competently and independently carry out day to day recreation operations.
• Ability to organize, plan, administer special events and entertainment activities.
• Ability to maintain records, compile and organize data for reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Community Recreation, and Deployed Support Branch; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations command (CNIC); Naval Station Everett.
