Job summary

Trinity Health PACE in Massachusetts is seeking a Recreation Assistant to support therapeutic activities aligned with each participant’s care plan. The role promotes social engagement, mobility, and lifelong learning.

Responsibilities include leading activities, coordinating with care teams, documenting plans, and developing newsletters. Must lift up to 20 lbs and be able to adapt to a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of experience with elderly or frail populations; training provided if less.
• Preferred education/training in geriatrics or dementia care.
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, or ASL).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Pay Range: $ 16.61-$19.52/hr

Position Purpose

The Recreation Assistant supports the planning, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic recreational activities tailored to each participant’s care plan. This role enhances the participant experience through engaging programs that promote socialization, physical activity, and lifelong learning.
