Job summary

Genesis in Santa Fe, NM is seeking an Activity Assistant to enrich the lives of our patients and residents. You will plan, organize, and implement engaging activities that meet physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs for those in our care.

Ideal candidates are effective communicators with strong organizational skills and the ability to engage with staff, residents, families, and community partners. A high school diploma or equivalent and fluency in English are required.

Qualifications

• Well-developed organizational abilities and record-keeping skills.
• Able to positively engage with personnel, residents/patients, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement engagement activities addressing the physical, creative, cognitive, social, and emotional needs of patients and residents.
• Contribute to the design of monthly recreation therapy services.
• Document patient/resident attendance and participation in recreation programs.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide input into the design of monthly recreation therapy services
