Job summary

Country Village Center is seeking a full-time Recreation Assistant to plan and execute engaging activities for patients and residents. The role requires attendance on alternating weekends and some evenings/holidays, with a focus on enriching lives through varied recreational programs.

The ideal candidate will have strong English communication, well-developed organizational skills, and the ability to positively engage with staff, residents, families, and the public in a compassionate care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and visitors and respond to their medical and physical needs.
• Ability to engage positively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Enrich the lives of our patients/residents as an Activity Assistant where you will plan, organize and implement engagement activities that meet the physical, creative, cognitive, social, spiritual, and needs of our patients and residents.
• Provide input into the design of monthly recreation therapy services
• Document patient/resident attendance and participation level at recreation programs
• Attend care plan meetings as needed
