Job summary

Complete Care Management is seeking a Recreation Aide/Driver to support residents in our long-term care setting in Edison, NJ. You will transport residents to medical appointments and social activities, assist with entering and exiting the vehicle, and provide companionship during travel, while maintaining safety and cleanliness of the vehicle.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and experience driving a 15-passenger bus, with per diem scheduling and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• BA in Recreation/Psychology/CTRS preferred but not required.
• Experience in long term care and recreation is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and bus driving experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to appointments and activities.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report issues.
• Follow traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Provide companionship and communicate with nursing staff.
• Keep trip records and mileage logs.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Recreation Aide/Driver Qualifications and Responsibilities:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• BA in Recreation/Psychology/CTRS preferred but not required
• Experience in long term care and Recreation preferred
• Positive and energetic individual with creativity
• Ability to work independently or part of a group
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Experience driving a 15 passenger bus
• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, social activities, and other destinations
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort
• Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Provide companionship and support to residents during transportation
• Communicate effectively with nursing home staff regarding residents' schedules and needs
• Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incident
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
