Job summary

Luxor at Mills Pond Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking energetic Recreation Aides to plan, organize, and implement recreational activities for residents. This full-time role supports daily programs and events to enhance residents’ quality of life.

We value compassionate, patient, and creative individuals who collaborate with the Recreation Department and interdisciplinary teams. Weekend and holiday availability is often required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in recreation, activities, healthcare, or customer service preferred.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care is a plus.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative, energetic, and team-oriented personality.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for residents
• Encourage resident participation and engagement in programs and events
• Help organize group activities, games, outings, entertainment, and holiday events
• Provide one-on-one interaction and support for residents as needed
• Set up and clean activity areas before and after programs
• Assist with transporting residents to and from activities when necessary
• Maintain a positive, friendly, and supportive environment
• Document participation and attendance in accordance with facility procedures
• Work collaboratively with the Recreation Department and interdisciplinary team

Luxor at Mills Pond Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking energetic, compassionate, and creative Recreation Aides to join our team. The Recreation Aide will assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents.
