Job summary

Pueblo County is seeking staff to assist with Youth Programs, Adult Programs, and Special Events at Community Centers and various recreational areas. You will help run activities, maintain equipment, keep records, and ensure centers operate smoothly across sites. A background check is required for employment.

Job description

THIS POSTING MAY BE USED TO FILL MULTIPLE OPENINGS

Assists with Pueblo County Youth Programs, Adult Programs, and Special Events located at Pueblo County Community Centers and multiple recreational areas throughout the year; responsible for all individuals in a program area and assists the participation of activities at the site as assigned by the supervisor.

• Assists in the operations of programs and events; establishes positive rapport with all participants in programs.
• Conducts inventory on recreational equipment and supplies; provides maintenance and repairs.
• Ensures accurate records and scorekeeping are maintained at all times.
• Assists with monitoring the day-to-day operations of recreational programs and centers.
• Prepares recreation programs and special events.
• Maintains the cleanliness of Community and Recreation Centers.
• Performs other duties as appropriate or necessary for performance of the job.

Experience:

• 6 months of recreational activities experience is preferred
