Job summary

Hudson Hill Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a part-time Recreation Aide to plan, implement, and evaluate engaging recreational and social programs for residents. The role supports resident well-being aligned with care plans and requires patience, enthusiasm, and strong English communication.

The position is based at 65 Ashburton Ave, Yonkers, NY 10701, with weekend shifts (4 pm–8 pm). Join a dynamic team focused on enriching residents' lives through activities and community

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities preferred.
• Must read/write/speak English.
• Patience, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm for residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual activities.
• Coordinate with supervisors to align activities with resident assessments and care plans.
• Support a resident-focused environment and foster engagement and participation.

ACTIVITIES AIDE REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department is Preferred

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning
