• Schedule: Guaranteed 20hrs/wk. May work up to 40 hrs/wk. Scheduled as needed.

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the JBSA Fort Sam Houston Fitness Center located in San Antonio, TX. This is a Regular Part-Time category position with guaranteed 20 hrs. per week. Employees appointed to a Regular category position are eligible for benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Performs and/or assists in the operation and maintenance of indoor and outdoor fitness facilities. Duties include but are not limited to providing assistance and basic instruction to patrons in the proper use of exercise machines and equipment; setting up fitness areas for scheduled activities; serving in the capacity of front desk attendant and operating a Point of Sales (POS) system; and carrying out cash handling procedures IAW Air Force Instructions.

Enforces fitness center policies; makes reservations for court space, classes, or use of equipment; follows proper procedures for issuing equipment; inspects and documents any damage when returned; maintains cleanliness of fitness facilities IAW facility cleaning checklists; and performs opening and closing facility procedures IAW facility checklist. May operate a government vehicle to include light truck, sedan, golf cart, etc. Performs other duties as assigned.

Will report to Operations Manager, Fitness Coordinator, and/or Fitness Center Director.
