Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • College courses in human services or addiction desirable.
  • Experience supervising and interacting with persons with addictions or in correctional settings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word; basic Excel.
  • Good reading, writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks related to client charting and movement tracking.
  • Capable of overtime hours and lifting up to 40 pounds as needed.
  • Pass KBI security/background checks.
  • Must have sustained remission if previously diagnosed with substance use disorder.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise clients during assigned hours.
  • Monitor groups as required.
  • Provide educational presentations and facilitate recreation therapy.
  • Familiarize daily status of each client through counselor or chart review.
  • Complete orientation paperwork for each client.
  • Provide transportation to community-based providers as needed.
  • Maintain records of client movement and confidentiality.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in team conferences.
  • Assist in collecting client fees per policy and deposit co-payments.
  • Ensure proper filing of official communications and client materials.
