Job summary

St. Joseph's Addiction Treatment and Recovery Centers in Saranac Lake, NY seeks a Full-time Clinical Aide to support residents in adjusting to residential life and participating in recovery-oriented activities.

The Clinical Aide I reports to the Clinical Aide Coordinator and assists with supervision, documentation, and monitoring of resident activities, with shifts Tuesday through Saturday from 2:00pm to 10:00pm and a pay range of $16 to $22 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid NYS driver’s license preferred and be insurable.
• Experience working with individuals challenged with substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

• Orient new residents to the facility and local surroundings.
• Help residents adjust to community living without alcohol/drugs.
• Monitor program activities and assist residents/staff as needed.
• Prepare written observational reports and input into EHR, Yammer, etc.
• Provide assistance to residents concerning growth and sobriety issues.
• May train new Clinical Aide I candidates.
• May interview residents on admission and complete admission packets.
• May assist in driving residents within the community.
• Conduct resident rounds and ensure all residents are accounted for.
• Report activity to the treatment team and supervise UDS/Breathalyzer screens.
