YSS seeks a part-time Recovery Specialist to support youth in residential addiction treatment at the Ember Recovery Campus in Cambridge, IA. You will foster a safe, structured home, facilitate groups, and mentor residents toward healthier, more independent futures.

This role emphasizes relationship-building, guided life-skills coaching, and consistent support within a trauma-informed, mission-driven team.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of human service experience.
• Flexibility to serve on on-call rotation and cover shifts.
• Recovering applicants must have a minimum of two years of sobriety.

Responsabilidades

YSS is seeking a motivated, part-time Recovery Specialist. In this role, you'll be a consistent source of encouragement, structure, and support for youth in residential addiction treatment. Through positive relationships, skill-building, and everyday interactions, you'll help residents build the confidence and life skills they need to succeed in recovery.

As a Recovery Specialist, you'll create a safe, welcoming home environment while facilitating groups, coaching healthy habits, supporting treatment goals, and helping youth navigate the challenges—and victories—of daily life. While this isn't a therapy role, your guidance and mentorship will have a lasting impact on each resident's recovery journey.

What You Absolutely Need

• Travel, including transporting clients, is required for this position. For YSS insurance purposes, you must:
  • be 21 years of age,
  • have a valid, state-issued, driver's license,
  • have a clean driving record, and
  • have adequate insurance coverage per YSS policy.
