Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Recovery Specialist for the Clinical Stabilization Services (CSS) detox unit. The role supports a 40-bed program with a Friday-Monday overnight schedule, providing supervision, screenings, and documentation to safely manage clients with substance use histories.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and prefer experience with substance use populations; MA driver’s license is preferred. Vaccination policies and equitable employment are emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and structure of the program milieu by monitoring client activities.
• Observe and supervise clients and unit; conduct 30 minute well-being checks.
• Conduct telephone admission screenings and other admissions duties.
• Complete checklists, shift documentation and records per agency policies.

Clients are provided with a short-term intensive treatment program to guide them with their transition to long term care. Services include individual and group counseling, risk assessment for TB & STDs, HIV education, case management, and after-care follow up services. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
