Job summary

Telecare seeks a Recovery Specialist II for its Perris, CA location to address physical and psychological needs of members per service plans and Medicaid standards. The role offers full-time hours across AM, NOC, and PM shifts, with a December 14, 2026 start date for a new startup program.

Qualified candidates have at least a high school diploma or GED with MH experience (or BA/BS with 1 year MH experience), and CPR/First Aid/CPI certification. A CNA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in a psychiatric mental health setting or BA/BS with one year experience in mental health setting.
• Knowledge of basic nursing skills and interventions, as well as mental and physical health conditions and terminologies.
• Preferred: Certification as a CNA or its equivalent is acceptable documentation of nursing skills knowledge.
• Proficient understanding of client advocacy and client rights as defined in Title 17 and Title 9.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be CPR, First Aid, and CPI certified (hands-on course) on date of employment or prior to providing direct client care and maintain current certification throughout employment.
• All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification.
• If the position requires driving, valid driver's license, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment.
• Additional regulatory, contractual or local requirements may apply
• Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.

Shifts Available:

Full-Time | AM | Shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Days Tuesday - Saturday & Sunday - Thursday

Full-Time | NOC | Shifts: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM | Days: Tuesday - Saturday & Sunday - Thursday

Full-Time | PM | Shifts: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM | Days: Tuesday - Saturday & Sunday - Thursday

Expected starting wage is $23.00. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

Located on the Wellness Village Campus, the Telecare Wellness Village Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) operates 24/7 and serves 50 individuals who are Incompetent to Stand Trial (IST) or otherwise court-ordered to this level of care. The program provides up to 50 residential beds for both male and female clients. It primarily serves IST consumers referred by the Superior Court, Riverside Sheriff's Office (RSO), or Riverside University Health System-Behavioral Health (RUHS-BH). The facility also supports individuals requiring residential services through Laura's Law/AOT and other RUHS-BH and Superior Court diversion programs.
